What Is a Mini Highland?
A Mini Highland is a smaller-framed Scottish Highland — the same shaggy double coat, sweeping horns, and calm, family-friendly temperament, in a body that matures under roughly 48 inches at the hip. Micro Highlands are smaller still, often maturing under 42 inches.
Their hardiness, efficient grazing, and gentle nature make them well suited to small acreage, and their distinctive coats come in a range of colors — from classic red to rare silver dun, yellow, and white.
